Senior Linux Systems Engineer/Architect
Amoria Bond is looking for a Senior Linux Systems Engineer/Architect. Our client is a telecommunication client based in Germany. This position requires a Senior Linux Systems Engineer/Architect for a period of 6 months. The Senior Linux Systems Engineer/Architect will be undertaking the implementation, delivery and management of the company's internal and development Linux/Unix systems. You should have excellent communication skills and be used to providing both Sever administration support on RedHat or CentOS with good database skills, ability to script/automate and first class troubleshooting skills.
In order to be considered for the Senior Linux Systems Engineer/Architect position you need to demonstrate:
Knowledge of:
* Linux Systems Administration (Variants such as RedHat, CentOS, Debian or Ubuntu Red Hat or CentOS preferred).
* Experience with common web services such as Apache, DNS, DHCP, etc.
* Experience of working with Solaris
* Good understanding of networking concepts, including, VLANs, Loadbalancer configuration, Firewall configuration
* Security Patching (Essential)
* Commercial Experience working with LAMP, Linux, Apache, MySQL in a Virtualised environment (Essential)
* Experience with one or more Scripting languages (eg. Shell, Perl, PHP or Python).
* Virtualisation experience (Amazon EC2, VMware)
* Good monitoring and troubleshooting (route cause analysis) (Essential)
Able to manage business users as well technical associates Investigate technical issues and produce timely and appropriate solutions.
Background of working in a vibrant, critical systems environment.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Strong communications skills.
Wiliness to act proactively.
