For our customer we are currently searching for Quality Assurance Manager (f/m)

GeneralAs Quality Assurance Manager it is your task in close cooperation with the Supplier Quality Development Manager; Supervisor Quality Control Incoming and local Purchasing Manager to ensure that the suppliers understand and comply with the specified requirements.You are responsible for leading and managing the local Supplier Quality Development Manager, Supervisor Quality Control Incoming and the Materials and Corrosion Protection Engineer.For this task it is necessary to have conceptual strength in analyzing and improving the especially supplier-related processes and their interfaces. The goal is to chose, to develop and to build long term relationships with reliable suppliers in terms of time, products, process characteristics and costs. Furthermore the operational cooperation with the suppliers has to be ensured and strategically cooperation with our key suppliers has to be developed and expanded by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Tasks

  • Lead and develop the local supplier quality group and support the position within the global Cameron supplier quality development group
  • Work with Supply Chain and Engineering functions to develop supplier consolidation strategies.
  • Plans, coordinates, and directs quality programs designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of the products consistent with established standards by performing the duties as required.
  • Coordinates internal and external audits and ensure their success through the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review and approve quality/inspection plans and ensure compliance with the applicable standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Decides whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor based on their performance. Reviews all data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
  • Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
  • Keep Quality Manager informed of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
  • Responsible for development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a global supplier quality management system in compliance with ISO9001 and API Q1 quality standard requirements as well as management of division Approved Vendors List.
  • Responsible for communication of quality requirements to suppliers, and the reporting on compliance of the supply base.
  • Support reporting of supplier performance scorecards and develop improvements to the system which empower suppliers to continuously improve their performance. This scorecard should form part of a risk assessment based supplier management system.
  • Provide direction and training to the Operations quality group in Approved Vendor List management, vendor audits and other supplier quality related items.
  • Conduct process and quality system audits at suppliers as part of initial qualification and follow-up validation of improvement.
  • Support the Cost of Poor Quality and Advanced Product Quality Planning initiatives, including both data reporting and action taken to improve performance.

    Profile
  • Master degree in a related field or equivalent years experience in related field and 5+ years experience supporting quality processes in a manufacturing or production environment. 2+ years management experience.
  • Certified as Quality Auditor or strong audit experiences.
  • Preferably possess Certification by the American Society for Quality as Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Proven quality management skills and knowledge of methods and tools of quality management (i.e. Fishbone Diagrams, 5-Whys, Gage R&R, FMEA, etc.).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Experience in compiling data and metrics for reporting purposes. Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Write reports, business correspondence to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Computer literate and familiar with the following: MS Office, SAP.
  • Knowledge of work safety and environmental management systems is desirable.
  • Expertise in mechanics, hydraulics, electrics / electronics / software is beneficial.
  • Preferably possess SAP Quality Modul experience.
  • Available to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Ability to deal with conflicts in a global environment.
  • Problem solving oriented.
  • Fluent English and good German skills.
