Senior Database Architect/Designer required with solid Kernel experience to lead the Architechture, Design and Implementation of a cutting edge database Kernel specifically designed for large-scale OLTP and OLAT systems. Experience in Open Source Database Design (For example PostgreSQL and MySQL) required. Our client wants to Design and Develop its own Database and therefore needs a Consultant at the highest level. You will be very familiar with System Architecture and the Soft Code that sits behind a Database. The new Database will run off a Linux Platform, it would be highly beneficial to have strong Kernel development experience although, Kernel committer experience is preferable. The right person for this role will have a good knowledge in Password Management, Concurrency Control, Communication between different Nodes and strong Clustering. A strong background in Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 or Sybase would be required. This Architect position is also a position of management. It would be useful to have Man Management experience as you’ll be leading a team of up to 10 Developers. The role is an English speaking role, based in Germany although remote working may be an option.
