This position, based near Frankfurt in Germany, calls for experience of website engineering and of Oracle UCM and Site Studio.Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding Real Time environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures.
The role will embrace the full life cycle of software development, maintenance and support for a website, extranets and an Intranet as part of a migration project to upgrade existing sites from Oracle Stellent 7.6 to Oracle UCM 11g. Furthermore, the consultant will be responsible for administering the Oracle UCM and WebLogic Servers used by the sites. The consultant will additionally contribute to the full life cycle of Client Server based COTS systems (eg Discussion Forum, Blog).
The key experience and attributes sought are:-
At least 5 years experience in developing, managing and administrating websites
Experience in developing sites and content with Oracle Universal Content Management System and Site Studio, preferably with UCM 11g
JSP, JavaScript, Idoc Script, (X)HTML, CSS, Ajax, XML, XSLT, PHP
Experience in administration and configuration of Oracle UCM and WebLogic Server
Experience in integrating systems with Web Services/SOAP, LDAP/AD, SMTP
Knowledge of IIS
Knowledge of Windows XP
Proven experience in formal documentation, preferably in a ISO 9000 certified project and service environment
Knowledge of some of the following would be advantageous:-
SQL, Java, Servlets, Perl
Tag based web analytic tools and related analysis and other web statistics
ITIL, in particular with respect to change and configuration management fundamentals and principles
Candidates should possess a University degree or equivalent. Fluency in English is essential and a working knowledge of French advantageous. This is a freelance contract assignment with an initial period of one year starting in January 2012 with an option to extend for a further period of one year.
