Our client is currently looking for a Windows System Engineer (m/f) for a project in Cologne.Task Description
• Driving forward the evolution of server platform, gradually evolving to the private cloud concept
• BAU activities in the technology domain
• Level 3 support for incidents & problems related to the technology domain in scope
• Participation in projects
• Knowledge Transfer to Level 2
• Consultancy & Feedback towards Operational departments, SDA community
MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THE JOB HOLDER
• Business project engineering 40%
• Infrastructure improvement 20%
• Maintenance and 3rd level support 40%
Skills:
Mandatory knowledge and experience in following areas:
• Windows Server 2008 & 2003
• Windows Clustering techniques
• Windows Terminal Services
• Windows patch management (WSUS)
• Scripting (Batch, VBS, PowerShell)
• Software Distribution concepts
• Loadplans
• Unattend principle
• Frameworks MS SCCM
• Acronis backup & recovery 11
Knowledge in one or more of the following areas is an asset:
• VMWare vSphere, vCenter, VCB, SRM, …
• Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenDesktop
• IBM and/or HP Hardware
• SAN HBA usage & connectivity
• LAN NIC usage & connectivity
• SAN & NAS concepts
• Directory Services (AD/LDAP awareness to enable central security mgnt)
• BMC BladeLogic Server Automation
