Galileo GCS AIV Engineer (6200), based in Munich, 12 months contract market rate TBA
Qualifications and skills needed by applicants
Knowledge if flight operations software including mission control systems
Experience of ESA EGOS applications eg SCOS-2000, SIMSAT etc. Experience of spacecraft operations
Experience of working in on site situations with customers for the delivery of products or systems in support of on site integration and test activities
Previous experience of ESA ground segment programmes
The role
A versatile experienced satellite ground systems engineer is required for the Galileo Ground Control Segment AIV (Assembly, Integration and Verification) team. The team is currently deployed to site and undertaking the ground segment integration and verification in preparation for live satellite operations. This role involves varied tasks including:
Execution of Test Campaigns
Coordination of the test team for test runs
Technical leading and configuration of the development of test cases
Organisation of the configuration if the applications/network as required
Responsibility of the raising of anomaly reports
Supporting Non-Conformance Review Boards
Chairing of Test Readiness Review meetings for the Test Campaigns
Reporting to the AIV Manager
Responsible for the update and maintenance of the test procedures, test data and tools
Supporting suppliers and the site manager with new installations of software and/or hardware
The project is based in Munich, but business travel in Europe is also required.
