We are looking for a SAP Basis Administrator in the area of Zurich:

!! PERMANENT POSITION OR CONTRACTING!!

Responsibilities:
The group’s SAP R/3 system (MM, SD, PP, FI-CO & BW) is currently being implemented. The system provides services to more than 35 countries across the world and almost 3’000 SAP users by 2013. The technical environment is currently on SAP R/3 4.7 and will be upgraded to ECC6, Oracle and Linux. The system is hosted and managed by a 3rd party supplier.

Tasks:
- Managing the supplier’s SAP Basis operations, supporting on-going roll outs in EU, US, LATAM and APAC , documenting and maintaining the technical environment required by the SAP and SAP related applications
?- Working at a technical level with a strong understanding of SAP underlying database, operating system, and hardware platform
?- Interacting with various SAP development/support teams, 3rd party vendors and other technical teams to optimize and maintain the overall SAP Applications reliability, availability, and performance
?- Hands-on in developing and proposing innovative solutions to satisfy business requirements
?- Actively participating and supporting all SAP global and local projects
?- Strongly participate in activities ranging from Application Architecture, Projects, ITIL Process improvement, monitoring, etc.
- Follow up on monitoring of all SAP systems; identifying issues and taking proper action within the supplier following procedures and agreed SLA
?- Coordinating the introduction of technical changes into the environment
- Managing the integration of SAP applications with other components of the business systems environment
- Forecast of future roll outs/acquisitions and capacity requirements and providing this information to supplier
- Troubleshooting for end-to-end performance improvements of SAP environments
- Performing incident and change management processes with the SAP hosting provider
- Performance tuning, statistics & early watch reports
- Follow up on monitoring of systems, transports and backups etc.
- Reducing occurrence of incidents through proactive analysis
- Disaster Recovery SAP procedures
- Printing
- Defining printer environment within SAP and the operating system (definition and setup of printer queues and spool directories at operating system level)
- Archiving
- Job planning definition and monitoring
- SAP System control and job planning

Skills:
- Strong experience with systems based on ECC6, BW and Oracle in a large-sized complex SAP system landscape
- Strong knowledge of SOLMAN
- Architectural knowledge in SAP landscapes
- Strong knowledge in middleware interface/integration management tools (XI/PI…)
- Good understanding of SAP Business One and integration aspects with R/3
- Strong experience in SAP Data Management and Archiving
- Oracle DBA skills
- Understanding of SAP systems change management planning and control
- Experience in an international professional support function
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Fluent in English
