Senior Technical Specialist Data Center (f/m)
Ihre Aufgaben
Provide operational leadership and direction to the group of data center operators
Manage shift schedules and on-call duty responsibilities
Resolve complex issues and constantly drive operational excellence
Manage data center technical resources through task assignments based on our ticketing tool
Provide subject matter expertise in networking, Intel platforms and storage
Work independently and coordinate with other international team members and teams
Create standard operation procedures and articles
Develop and implement a KPI based quality management system
Provide management reports, incident reports and other facility metrics
Manage shift schedules, participate in on-call rotation, and provide after-hours support as needed
Provide creative solutions to reoccurring problems and capacity demands
Mentor and develop junior staff
Fachliche Anforderungen
Minimum 5 years of overall IT experience, of which at least 2 year experience in managing a Data Centre environment
Experience of working for an organization supporting 5000+ users
Minimum 3 year experience of operating at least one of the following systems: Microsoft Windows Server / AD and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
Excellent understanding of HP Blade and Server technologies
Working knowledge of HVAC, fire suppression and UPS
Excellent knowledge of Intel platforms, hardware, and peripherals
Good understanding of DR scenarios, WAN, LAN and firewall infrastructure
Experience with VMware ESX 3.5/4.0
Experience in managing remote data centers / colocations
Experience of working in an ITILv3 support organization
Current knowledge of the requirements of major applications
Experience on managing external service providers / contractors
Full driving licence
Fluent in English
