The Global Employee Communications Specialist will drive and enhance the interlinkage between social media and classical communication channels: Support in overall delivery of the communication plan ensuring that communication and relationships with the employee group are consistent and aligned with the overall SAP communication plan. Editor in chief and coordinator for homepages of SAP Corporate Portal pages and Social Media Platforms. Counterpart for strategic development topics. For details please see attachment.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As part of Global IT, IT Infrastructure Services is SAP's IT-infrastructure provider and is responsible for running SAP's backend technology including operations of state of the art data centers as well as client technology (end-user equipment) around the globe. Within Global IT, the IT Infrastructure Services unit acts in a shared services mode for internal customers across all SAP Board Areas, providing SAP systems for a wide range of development, training, demo and business purposes.

Main locations of IT Infrastructure are Germany, the U.S. and India. Its key success factors are close collaboration with its internal customers, best in class technologies and an innovative thinking to ensure ongoing improvements of service delivery with regard to quality, cost, speed and efficiency.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

·       Support in expanding the use of social media as an upward, downward, and lateral communication channel. Our goal is to use social media tools and techniques to increase the number of SAP employees in an ongoing virtual, constructive dialogue.

·       Support in overall delivery of the communication plan ensuring that communication and relationships with the constituency group are consistent and aligned with overall SAP communication plan as determined.

·       Editor in chief and coordinator of cross development related Social Media Platforms (communities, microblogging). Drive and enhance the interlinkage between social media and classical communication channels.

·       Editor in chief and coordinator for homepages of SAP Corporate Portal pages (Intranet) for development related workspaces.

·       Counterpart for strategic development topics. As a member of the global Employee Communication team, support overall employee engagement activities and support the development of best-practices for employee communication.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

·       Diploma or BA in Business Administration/PR or related area desired (or equivalent education)

·       Experienced in social media (conceptual)

·       Strong editorial and journalistic experience and excellent writing and editing skills for online media

·       Experienced in working in virtual, intercultural international teams

·       Strong networking skills and ability to motivate people outside of direct reporting lines

·       Project management skills on a global scale with intercultural sensitivity

·       Hands-on attitude and execution driven

·       Customer focused, innovative thinking

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

·       Understanding of IT market

·       Knowledge in hands-on design and implementation of communications concepts and plans as well as delivery perception changing communications including the area of employee-based communication

·       Strong Editorial experience a big plus

·       Minimum knowledge in hands-on design and implementation of communications concepts and plans

·       Self-motivated and team oriented

·       Flexible and able to cope with stress

·       Experienced in handling confidential material

·       Profound business and SAP solutions knowledge

·       German and English fluent (written and oral)
