We require a Web based GUI for a software application we are developing. Key points:- a relatively simple 15 screens
- Database-centric (all communications is with a DB - MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Must be standards conform and support only a sub-set of browsers (not everything under the sun!)
- Must eventually also accessible from a smart phone
- Patient database search based on various parameters
- Access rights management for users
- A Workflow component, which can interface with our C++ Server
Our Server Software is written in C++ and is a realtime system, which processes data from RFID readers. Depending on the customer site configuration, a workflow tracking objects within the RFId reader range is required.
AS the application is relatively simple and cost sensitive, our original thought was to implement this using a simple PHP/Apache (+framework?) approach. A CMS front end concept such as Plone/Zope could also be interesting as much of the required Web framework is already implemented. Further, should it be necessary, it would eventually allow us to use Python to speak with the C++ server.
You will working with Spanish colleagues so you should feel comfortable communicating in technical English. Feel free to respond to this in either English or German.
