- Acts as the focal point for all Global activities involving voice communications
- Act as Technical Owner for global Voice and Video technologies. Is Lead architect for Voice and Video solutions incl. applications and is responsible for a professional lifecycle management
- Directs technical implementations (through vendors) to interconnect existing qualified Voice and Video systems
- Manage projects in the deployment of Voice communication infrastructure in the areas:
- PBX and Call Control Servers, ACD for Call Centers, Order Desks and Shared Services
- IP Telephony (VoIP) integration with Global WAN and LAN groups
- Integration of future technologies including Unified Communications, Mobiles etc.
- Video technologies supporting Video Conferencing, Surveillance, and Video on Demand
- Creates Voice and Video Services. Develops support processes and practices for contracts, licensing and maintenance programs
- Uses ITIL (V3) and quality management technologies to continuously improve IT processes
- Tests disaster recovery plans to ensure adequate resiliency of voice systems prior within EMEA and ASIA and secondary supports NAM
- Works closely with the operational staffs of the Service Desk and the Service Delivery Organization to provide knowledge transfer and transition for operational support
- Manages the Voice and Video cost structures
- Periodically audits Global Wireline and Wireless invoices to validate procedures and benchmarks
- Participates in development of Global I
- Minimum of at least 5 years experience in deploying and providing Voice and Video solutions
- Preferred 2 years experience with vendor management
- Demonstrable experience developing and implementing technological solutions as a service.
- Experience should include VoIP technologies using SIP, SIP trunking in complex networks
- Experience with service operation of complex VoiP & Video enabled networks.
- An advantage will be good skills with Microsoft OCS/Lync incl. interworking with other IP systems from Siemens and Cisco
- Associates Degree – Communications (ie. Technical), Computer Science, Information Technology or demonstrable experience in these fields
