Sensor Calibration and Testing Engineer

Main Target Summary
Electrical Engineer working as extended core team member within the projects, responsible for the sensor calibration and testing technology.

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities
- Drive the standardization and development, concept definition, specification, implementation, testing and release of the System and development process for the sensor calibration and testing (SCT) tools, process specifications, technology, materials and methods.
- Ownership of the SCT-Standard: mechanical, electrical, software, design rules, PFMEA, process and technology guidelines, checklists, templates, system-, requirement- and test management and the lessons learned.
- 80% workload on projects for global distribution and 20% for regional projects: Coordination, support, development, standardization and knowledge transfer.
- Setup and release of the SCT processes and machines using: MSA, Capability study, ANOVA and another 6 Sigma Tools.
- Continuous training of employees and drive the exchange of experience.
- Work in an interdisciplinary international, worldwide team with project management, field application, product and process engineering, quality assurance, functional safety and manufacturing.
- Conduct or support Software- and P-FMEA, DOE, risk-assessments, process and hazard analyzes, analysis of complaints and verification of corrective actions.

3 Requirements

Educational Degree
- Degree in electrical engineering or a comparable education.
Professional Experience (years in what processes and functions would be ideal)
- More than 3 years’ experience in engineering within the field of sensing technologies, electronics and/or software.

Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

- Knowledge about sensing elements and technologies, especially: Hall, 3D Hall, PLCD, GMR and speed sensors. All other sensing technologies are highly welcome.
- Knowledge about Software- and System- Development, Design, Requirements, Architecture and testing.
- Experience with refactoring methods, Design-Thinking, Pattern- and Object-oriented documentation and standardization skills.
- Knowledge about Labview and Programming Rules.
- Knowledge about communication protocols, e.g. SENT and PSI5.
- Experience with schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Ideally you have a DFSS Green or Black Belt and master the lean tools.
- Knowledge about Quality Systems and international technical standards (IATF 16949, ISO26262, Automotive Spice)
- Experience with ALM-Tools like Codebeamer.

- Ensuring high flexibility to meet internal / external customer requests.
- You work independently and on your own responsibility.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluent English.
- Self-motivated and proactive working method.
- Travel requirement up to 20%, willingness to travel worldwide.
