Candidate must have hands on experience of access & distribution layer Cisco Switches, Network Monitoring Tools, and layer 2 Technologies like LAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP. You should also have practical knowledge of NAT, SNMP, DNS, Link aggregation / EtherChannel (LACP, PAgP), Layer 3 routing protocols. And experience in SNMP, DHCP, VTP, STP, VPN, RSTP, HSRP, VRRP and GLBP is essential to be considered for this position.

Network Engineer L2 should have working experience on following technologies/platforms:

• Minimum of 3 years of Network Administration experience in a service provider and/or large enterprise environment required.
• Must be team-oriented and possess exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills with ability to shift focus and re-prioritize are required.
• Ability to work well with others across many organizations including Information Technology, Engineering, Provisioning, Customer Service, and Installation.
• Strong time management skills and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet schedules/deadlines as required.
• Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn new technologies is a must.

Candidate with strong knowledge and experience in 50% plus of following technologies will be preferred. (All are not required, but a good combination of experience in multiple techs will make you stand out against the competition, you can apply if you have 3 years+ experience in managing Layer2 networks).

• Access & distribution layer Cisco Switches, Cisco 2900, 3650 or 6500 Series or Jupiter / Nexus / HP Switches
• Core Layer Cisco Routers or HP, Avaya Routers
• Routing Protocols OSPF or BGP
• Network Monitoring Tools (PRTG, MRTG, Wirehark, Whatsup, Gold, Ethereal)
• Authentication Server(RADIUS, TACACS+,LDAP)
• Routing/switching, Infrastructure, Cloud, and security
• Technologies, LAN / WAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, IP MPLS VPN, IPsec, GRE, NAT, SNMP, DNS, DNS Load balancing
• Link aggregation / EtherChannel (LACP, PAgP), Layer-2/3 protocols, EIGRP routing
• Routing protocols RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP with Route-Redistribution, Route-filtering and Policy based routing using Route-maps
• Mobile network communication technologies ; 3GPP. UMTS, HSPA, GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, LTE, VoLTE, 5G technologies, IP telephony
• Wireless: Ericsson Mini-Link, Nokia MPR, Ceragon FibreAir, Huawei RTN, ZTE, Ubiquity TN, also AAruba, Huawei CPE, Cisco and Meraki
• Microwave P2P, P2MP. Tools; Visio, Path Loss, Map Info
• Technology; IP/TCP, Ethernet, TDM, SONET/SDH, DWDM, CWDW, ADM, ONT, RF, Microwave Links
• Experience in SNMP, DHCP, VTP, STP, VPN, RSTP, HSRP, VRRP and GLBP
• Hands on experience with the Linux OS and CLI
