The Client
Professional services company consulting a German B2B / B2C consumer data company.

The Project
The data company is aiming to make it easier for B2B client to access their data services and integrate with their APIs.

Their current backend service setup is SOAP/XML.

The professional services company designed an approach to modernize the way clients can interact with the data company.

The plan is to build an API Gateway that is connected to the SOAP/XML service via a REST API Java Service as a proxy.

What happened so far:

To prove that this approach can be implemented quickly and cost-effectively they have to build a PoC by building one single API endpoint and build one service that connects to the API Gateway and enables clients to connect to the SOAP/XML service via the API Gateway.
To help developers integrate the API Gateway they also set up a developer portal behind a login.
From a DevOps perspective the team a build pipeline into the API Gateway based on OpenShift.
What's next?

To convince the client of rolling out the architecture approach across the platform the existing PoC will be extended.
The plan is to build one frontend + one service specifically targeted to fraud prevention. The user would be an employee of a bank that is consuming data from the data company. There would be a simple frontend and a simple Login.
If this PoC convinces the client then there will be another extension of about 4 months.
Your Job
Build a simple single-page app (React preferred) using Material UI components and set up a deployment pipeline for it on AWS / Cloudfront. As the data company is handling particularly sensitive personal data security and scalability are a key priority here (You need to work in compliance with the latest security standards and ensure there is e.g. no XSS etc.)

Project Goal
Show that the approach works and can be implemented fast and cost-efficient at scale, to convince the client to roll this idea out.

Requirements
Start the latest end of April
6+ years experience
Native-level German
Structured and Calm
Experience with React and/or Vue.js
Experience with Material UI
Ability to host a web service on your own.


Approval Process
Besides our usual screening process, there could be one additional interview with the PO of the project.
