For our customer we are looking for some Optical Engineers for HUD (Head Up Display).Mission/Purpose of Function:
- Definition and evaluation of optical simulation for Heads-Up displays in automotive environment based on customer requirements
- Develpoment of analysis based on those results out of the simulation
- Representation of results intern as well at national and international customer sides
As we are looking for some experts, not all tasks and knowledge need to be covered by one person.

Tasks:
- Technical support
? Definition and evaluation of optical simulation for Heads-Up displays
? Develpoment of analysis based on those results out of the simulation
? Clarification with PM/TPL in case of new platform, new technologies needed for
acquisition
? Representation of results intern as well at national and international customer sides
? Operation of measurement technology
? Processing and evaluation of optical tests
? Collaboration with engineers for optical HUD-design to document R&D tests, end of line
tests and measurements
? Development of innovative and new HUD concepts
? New and innovative HUD consepts have to be measuable and capable for testing in an
EOL
- Requirements management
? Align the Requirements Documents
? Definition of tolerance and optical requirements
- Requirements development
? Aligne requirements regarding optical parameter from customer side with in the
requirement documentation of Continental
- Product architecture development
? Developing a optic design for the product based on the requirements
? Coworking with ME to ensure technical feasibility of the solution
? Ensure the compliance with legal and internal requirements
? Be responsible for the documentation related to optical PDC HUD architecture
- Product integration planning
? Work for the gate releases and their requested e-signs
- Product integration coordination
? Check and distribution of produced samples to the customer and internal users
- Coaching
? Coaching core developpment team members in rough optical issues and not discussable
needs regarding optics
- TPL
? the delivery of a functional opto-technical design according the customer requirements,
which is able to persist the validation (according the customer specifications).
? capavble to act at customerside, do explain the results.
? engineering content as part of theof the project core development team
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
? Experience in programming, especial of optical simulation environment (ZEMAX, ASAP, CODE V)
? MatLab Team working
? Capability to analyze opto-technical problems
? English
? Operation of measurement technology
The assignment is planned remotely. It may be very occasionally that you would have to go to the customer in the Aschaffenburg area.
