My client, a global player in the Technology space, are currently seeking 3 Data Engineers for a number of different workstreams across their cloud platform.They are migrating old infrastructure into a modern Cloud data lake across a highly technical, modern organization. These are contractor/freelance positions, for a period of 6 months + extension, starting ASAP.
The ideal candidate would have experience in the following technologies;
Sound expertise in Big Query, Kubernetes, and SQL.
Experience with frameworks and packages like Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow or similar is desirable
Proven track in developing micro services and API driven platforms.
Proficiency in Python and SQL, proficiency in other programming languages (e.g. Java, Kotlin, Node.js, Typescript) is a plus.
Deep experience in running systems in DevOps teams and the related technologies for monitoring, KPIs capturing and alerting
Preferably practical experience with data warehouse / data lake systems
First experiences with NoSQL database technology and Apache Beam or Airflow
