We are currently looking for a heating market analyst (m/f/d) for our energy client

Project description: Based on the high demand and requests from the market this project aims to elaborate how a scalable, profitable and efficient solution in the area of 5th generation heating network could look like and which part of the E2E value chain is most promising and fitting for the client.

Goal:
1.) Show the market and technology situation (in 2021) and potential (till 2030) of 5th generation heating networks in Germany (both residential and/or industrial)
2.) Assess the profitability of 5th generation heating networks including current and future possible subsidy schemes
3.) Identify the typical value chain incl. margins and key market players and suggest based on the clients current portfolio a tailored long list of strategic approaches and field for actions
4.) Elaborate the most promising strategic approach and field for action, identify possible competitors and partners and prepare it for further decision making

Task description (independently performed):
- Developing an overview of the current and future market and technology situation:
- Overview technology situation incl. Technology Readiness Level (TRL), Time To Market (TTM), producer, price indicators, advantages and disadvantages
- Overview of current developments of urban quarters incl. the used technologies
- Identification of typical market players, competitors with their unique selling proposition (USP) and customers
- Assessment of regulatory impact, risks and opportunities
- Overview of typical value chain with identifications of margins and key market players
- Overview of E2E roles and responsibilities in the area of 5th generation heating networks from financing, planning, building and operating
- Elaborate, assess, and show the client capabilities and project know-how
- Deriving a long list of strategic approaches and fields of action:
- Define joint criteria to assess ideas from backlog and derive most promising strategic approach and field for action
- Elaborating the most promising strategic approach and field for action
- Enriching chosen strategic approach and field for action and preparing documents for decision making and further planning:
? Definition of the most critical hypothesis´ which would need to be tested in a potential concept phase
? Business Model Canvas
? Strategic evaluation of the idea
? Role of client along the value chain
? Business case estimation
? Assessment of scalability evaluation criteria
