Construction Contracts AdministratorAttend progress meetings with Construction Contractors. Alert Contract Manager and Project Manager on deviations, potential for claims and additional costs
Ensure that Construction Contractors are meeting their contractual obligations, including reporting with required content and quality. Issue notices and/or reminders in case of deviation
Review Monthy Financial Statement Reports (MFSR) of Construction Contractors, check quantities, correcting application of contractual pricing mechanism (unit rates or other), Extra Work Requests, etc…
Analyze Extra Work Requests, check validity as per contract, review and challenge cost estimates
Analyze and evaluate the Estimated Final Cost (EFC) for each construction contract, considering quantities, inefficiency, Extra Work Requests status and prediction, potential claims, extensions of time etc.. Provide construction contracts cost analysis to Cost Controller for cost reporting
Closely follow up quantities with engineering and construction companies, identify variations which could have an impact on costs and schedule
Analyze claims or other financial demands from Construction Contractors. Prepare own cost and schedule impact estimates. Prepare report for Contract Manager and Project Manager
Develop and implement KPIs for the follow up of Construction Contracts
Collect data from Construction Contractors for Project Reporting
Minimum of 10 years experience of working in a similar role within Refining or Petrochemical projects.
Experience in Major and Complex Projects
Experience with project controls including scheduling and cost management
Good understanding of procurement processes in projects
Experience of refinery turnarounds an advantage.
Fluency in German mandatory, Good level of English required
Attention to detail, good analytical and numerical skills.
Strong communication skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team, across the entire project organization and with diverse contractors.
Proactive and action oriented, able to take intitiatives and adapt to changing conditions
Good time management, ability to prioritise tasks
