Keil Business Solutions GmbH is innovative Google Reseller and IT Service Provider.We are looking for a
Technical Interface Consultant (Citrix, Platforms, SAP, SNC) for a client project – remote – 6 month
Overview /Background:
Our client has been planning to replace the existing platform. Currently current client system (platform) is hosted on a virtual machine platform.
The client has decided to move/migrate the platform by the end of July 2021. During the move/migration of the Platform the underlying operating system will be changed from Windows to Linux.
The underlying Database will also be changed.
Interfaces to/from the clients platform (known so far). The file based FTS+ interfaces is used by the client. The SAP RFC (ERP feeder) interfaces could be a challenge as Security wants these changed to an encrypted connection (SNC)
Currently it is not sure if the SAP version of the Platform will support encrypted SNC connections.
The same support of SNC connections also applies to each “ERP feeder system” and the clients environment (Tibco) where the data is exchanged through/with. The SharePoint application connected via ESB/Tibco to the Platform. Emails sent from or possibly received by the Platform is one external interface. Currently Citrix is used to remotely access (remote virtual desktop sessions) access the Platform system from other divisions/ subsidiaries of the client. The Citrix server used in is quite old and no longer under support. The decision/fact that a Citrix server is not used/available in new environment could cause problems especially for subsidiaries not directly connected to the clients Intranet. An SAP client SW can be used to connect to the Platform directly from the clients Intranet but the SAP systems must be somehow known/published to the networks
Task:
-One of the main points will be to understand the interaction between the platform and the interfaces to other systems
-The client desires to have an overview/big picture of the implementation and all interfaces
-Secondly exact and detailed descriptions of the implementation (in this case operational relevant details) behind each point/topic in the big picture
-Thirdly identify/document contacts including rolls and responsibilities for each part/aspect of the overall implementation
There are several different categories of documentation needed:
· Overview and big picture of the Platform implementation including all interfaces
· Operational documentation specific to the Platform implementation including any operational relevant customizing
· Operational monitoring and alerting
· Detailed interface diagram and description of each
· Technical implementation diagram/documentation including Hostnames/IP Addresses, Ports and Protocols used
· Could be more or less depending on what needs/requires
Requirement:
- Good Communication skills / Working with different types of stakeholders (technical)
-Planning and organizational skills are mandatory
-Technical knowledge/background with complex system landscapes (MUST)
-Technical IT-project experience with Interfaces (communication) – for example Citrix, SAP, SNC ….
Duration: 6 month + Option 6 month
Start: 01.02.2021
Capacity: 4-5 days per week
100% remote work
Project Language: English (MUST) , German would be a plus.
