- be a crucial part of the development of our client´s Linux based infrastructure
- You will write Kubernetes operators for managing QEMU/KVM processes
- You will automate hardware inventory after boot up
- You will modify the Linux kernel to fit our client´s physical servers
- You will automate remote management of our client´s servers using the BMC
Target / Project environment
- Your target is to automate our client´s server infrastructure deployment, always having a simple day-two operations in mind to increase the resiliency of the whole setup.
- Most of your code will be open source and written in Go
- You should like Debian, as this is the base for Garden Linux, our Linux distribution optimized for container deployments with Gardener and Kubernetes.
- Collaboration with other SAP and Telekom teams and partners in an international environment will be a regular part of your work.
Required skills:
- Multiple years of professional coding experience with Go
- Hands on experience with Kubernetes
- Ideally experience with Kubernetes CRDs and Operators
- Knowledge about Application Monitoring and Logging (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Willingness to work closely with frontend as well as system engineers on a day to day basis
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in a development position – ideally in the Cloud context.
- The ideal candidate would bring 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes infrastructure development.
