Release Manager (m/f/d)
Role description
- For the SharePoint online and One Drive for Business Project with the Modern Desktop Program.
Our Customer is seeking an Release Manager with experience in successfully delivering large scale technology Releases within the banking sector, especially experience in Releasing SharePoint Online and One drive for Business within Microsoft O365 in an enterprise environment.
The Release Manager will build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders in the Modern Desktop SharePoint online Project e.g. Engineering as well as Product Management, Security, Compliance, Testing and Operations team to coordinate, plan, manage and execute the successful releases of SPO and ODfB into production. He is fully responsible for the release adhering to the milestones and KPI´s given in the Project. He need to manage risk as well as budget within the release reponsibilities
He is responsible for accurate setting up and mainainance of the Project plan in MS Project including dependencies to other streams.
The role needs to communicate, report to the Program and Project lead as well as the OPCO and Steerco members.
The Release Manager will work very closely with overall Project lead and is manageing the releases within the Project.
The role will include, but not be limited to, educating the various teams of upcoming change and clearly communicating how they will be impacted.
Skills required
- Must have excellent relationship building and inter-personal skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft products, with, Azure and Microsoft O365 services
- Very good Knowledge and experience in implementing Miccrosoft O365 and especially SharePoint Online and One Drive for Business in an enterprise envirnment
- The ability to clearly and concisely produce documentation to a high standard using industry standard tools (MS Word, Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Produce and maintain schedules and plans (MS Project) providing relevant and timely updates
- Able to sufficiently understand the process to predict and resolve issues during each stage of a project life cycle
- general experienc of migrating to Microsoft O365 SharePoint Online and One Drive for Business in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to drive engagement with key stakeholders and facilitate learning through clear communication
- Must have attention to detail and be process orientated
- Be an independent thinker, used to working in high pressure environments with the ability to resolve issues and escalate when assistance is required
Qualfications and Experience:
- Experience in working in Agile environment
- Ideally Scrum Master qualification
- Experience in successfully delivering large scale technology change
- Experience in working for a multi-national financial institution
- Experience with Microsoft O 365 ( SPO and ODfB)implementation in enterprise environments
- Experience in Managing Product Releases in an agile environment
- Experience as a Scrum Master
