Hi there,we are Vicoland and we are currently looking for someone to help with the development of a webshop & wikipedia type database for one of our clients.
We are looking for a small team or individual that has an excellent background in building on top of shopify or sharetribe. The business model of our client consists of two modules. First, we would need a very similar or better site to chrono24. Second, we would need a Wikipedia type database. They are active in the arts industry and would like to build a databse where you type in e.g. Picasso and it shows all the art pieces of him, past sales and prices.
We want to make sure that the site is scalable and the code is written well so it can be SEO optimized. We do not wish to build anything from zero and we expect you or your team use available open source to build the website. Shopify e.g. does not allow individual users to upload their pictures/ products, but we would handle this via a subdomain and then we become the central source of uploading the products to the site. However, we are not forced to use Shopify and any other shopystem is fine, as long as we use open source technology. The client likes Ruby on Rails, but is open to other languages.
As this is the first step for developing a new product for our client, we are looking for a long-term partner. It would be great, if you can provide us with some work examples of what you have already built in terms of shopsystems in the past. Feel free to reach out to me with questions.
