Key Responsibilities:



• Build and lead the solution design for global distribution projects, including future rollouts of transportation management solutions.



• Tactical lead for the supply chain execution system planning, implementation and governance of the solution deployment.



• Accountable for building standard and governance standards for global templates for distribution and transportation projects



• Mentor other solution architects in the CC-distribution group



• Collaborate closely with the internal adidas groups such as Center of Excellence – Logistics and Global/Local Operations teams to design the most optimal design based on best practices and template-driven approach.



• Lead a team of regional team and external vendors to translate the design into configuration for the solution.



• Lead the documentation of solution design and configuration, ensuring consistency with other implementations and taking inputs from the Center of Excellence – Logistics and operations teams.



• Manage and escalate design challenges that can add risk to the project.



• Enable consistency and reusability across implementations with regards to functionality (modifications), host interfaces, Transportation/Carrier and WCS integration and system reporting/alerting tools.



• Collaborate with business and the CoE Logistics to identify strategic/long term Distribution Centre and Transportation Management requirements/innovations.



• Ensure that the solution design is transitioned to the project team members in a smooth and effective manner. Work with the solution development team (Manhattan and WCS vendor) to ensure requirements are clearly communicated and documented to ensure high quality of software code.



• Accountable for keeping updated on new version and release notes of the distribution solution and following up on the new solution functionalities that can help improve the future design.



• Accountable for meeting project schedules. Advise the project manager of project status and problems of specific assignments. Drive issue resolution and escalate when appropriate.



• Manage and build standards to conduct solution design review adhering to adidas Group’s processes, standards and methodology.



• Ensure quality gate and risk mitigation standards are implemented on all projects.



• Manage and define the design standards with regard to functionality, customizations and potential performance impacts.



• Support all testing activities – Unit, Integration, Performance, Regression and User Acceptance Testing, vis-à-vis any design-related requests that may come up during the project implementation. • Coordinate Support, Security and Infrastructure teams



• Design/Enhance Monitoring and Reporting Solutions for measuring and controlling logistic KPI´s (Data Warehouse, Logistic Cockpit)











Knowledge Skills and Abilities:



• 10 years of experience in leading solution design for Supply Chain execution systems such as Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management System and integrated systems. Experience with Platform version of Manhattan Associates WMS is a plus.



• 5+ years’ Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Manhattan, Red Prairie) and Integrations of these in large Logistic and Supply Chain setups



• Strong knowledge in DevOps topics, concepts and solutions



• Strong Software Design Skills, Design Principles and Patterns -> Documenting and Communication these with UML 2



• Proven in Auditing and Evaluating existing (vendor) Architectures (ATAM, SAAM)



• Experience in architecture and design using a variety of delivery methodologies such as waterfall, agile (scrum), iterative.



• Experience in concept and interface design, monitoring and performance optimization to higher level (ERP) interfaces (SAP) and also to subordinate interfaces (SOC, Material Flow Management, WCS)



• Knowledge of entire system level stack (Infrastructure, Network, Load Balancer, OS, Databases, Middleware)



• Broad Logistic Knowledge on Processes (Inbound, Outbound, Picking, Cross Docking)



• Broad Knowledge on Monitoring and Measuring Logistic KPIs



• Strong experience in Emulation, Simulation of Logistic Systems for optimization topics and fault scenario/load test validation (Plant Simulation)
