Role – Network WLAN/Proxy AdministratorTasks
• Assist with maintaining and monitoring Cisco, Meraki infrastructure
• Responsible for the administration, troubleshooting, installation and maintenance of one or several of the following disciplines: Local and Wide Area Networks, VOIP Networks, Security Appliances, and Wireless Networks.
• Install, support and configure Cisco routers and switches as well as all necessary security applications. Provide ongoing network maintenance, including updates and security patches.
• Monitor, evaluate, and solve potential network performance issues. Manage infrastructure-related and other network requests and problems. Support customers and employees via email, telephone, and face-to-face interaction.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to the installation, administration, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
• Participate in managing all network security solutions and help ensure all network systems meet compliance requirements
• Create and Maintain technical documentation
• First point of escalation for all technical and process issues.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required
• Ensure proper communication and quick resolution as a crisis manager.
• Timely escalation to management
• Plan and schedule Changes coordinating with different stakeholders.
• Perform Service Requests based on Standard Operating Procedures
• Service incidents and queries within the agreed service levels
• Perform RCA for Major Incidents related to his / her tower
• Work on the service improvement programs.
• Training of new team members.
• Work with project teams for activities such as new server build, OS upgrades, migrations etc
Skills
• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, VOIP, administration and troubleshooting of Cisco, Meraki.
• Proven experience with network security principles, and network management best practices.
• Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards.
• Excellent network troubleshooting experience, ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
• ITIL Awareness
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
