Your Tasks:
As part of their development team Operational Technology 4.0 / Production IT you will take on challenging and varied tasks in the context of Industry 4.0, IIot, Industrial Big Data and Serviceoriented architectures for our worldwide manufacturing operations. For this purpose they are looking for an experienced Software Engineer Industry 4.0* as soon as possible at their Plant in Mainz, full time.
- You develop and configure interfaces, design system architectures and create data models
- You develop test scenarios in connection with automated quality management Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- You work in an agile and innovative environment, using Scrum framework and user-centric development methods (e.g. design thinking)
- You are responsible for the implementation of their Smart Factory Strategy and manage internal and external service providers
- Knowledge with Azure Cloud Services would be an advantage
- You make specifications for future standards, follow-up the documentation and conduct trainings
- You influence the direction, productivity and achievement of their objectives and give guidance to junior colleagues
Your Profile:
- You have a degree in Computer Engineering or a comparable education (e.g. Electrical Engineering with focus on Information Technology or similar), ideally with a focus on Smart Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 or similar
- You have relevant expertise in high-level language programming (e.g. Java or C#) and/or scripting including testing and test automation
- You have experience in the field of automation technology and know current protocols for machine communication (e.g. OPC UA, MQTT)
- You have know-how on SQL databases as well as about Continuous Integration and Continous Deployment (CI/CD)
- You have experience in the integration of 3th party applications and data
- You have first experience with distributed software systems (e.g. Microservices, SOA)
- You like to work in a team, are solution and service-oriented
