Currently we are searching for one candidate who is able to cover the following position:Tasks:
automate an existing data processing and data integration pipeline (Perl, R, Linux shell scripts, Oracle/SQL, MS Access) which is currently run in a partially manual fashion
include checkpoint procedures and failure recovery
load/update Oracle tables with new (experimentally derived) results and data
prepare pipeline for change in underlying laboratory technology (clean interfaces) optionally deploy compute-intensive parts of the pipeline on existing Linux cluster
Must-Have Skills:
Perl/Python
Linux shell scripting
Oracle/SQL
workflow management
Nice-to-Have Skills:
knowledge in bioinformatics, statistics, biology/genomics
Softskills:
good communicator
