Skill:sound experience in:
o Microsoft SQL Server
o Oracle including PLSQL, RMAN and Dataguard
o Operatingsystem skills: Windows XP/7, Windows Server , Linux SLES , OpenSUSE 11.x
o Shell programming (Unix & Windows)
• Fluent in German and English required
Nice-To-Have: MySQL 5, Perl, Nagios, SEOS, NetApp storage infrastructure, experience in migration from Oracle to MS-SQL, Encryption technics with Oracle & MS-SQL, additional Windows / Linux dialects.

Aufgabe:
Database (Oracle and MS-SQL) administration: monitor and maintain database logs and alerts, migrate current scripts
• to report via Nagios / OTRS
o Resolve database issues
o Manage and optimize database system, performance and space usage
• Create, reorganize and manage:
o Databases, database instances and data dictionary information
o Database schemas and objects (tables, indices, stored procedures, triggers, …)
o User accounts and security
• Setup, manage and check database backups (cold backup / hot backup) including database recovery
• Perform database software maintenance tasks like database installation, security patches, updates, upgrades and migrations
• Define and maintain GFT-Standards derived from FORD / ITPM standards for database objects
• Support database design and development activities
• Support integration& acceptance testsand develop implementation plans
• Build up and maintain database inventory and configuration management
• Optimize data storage backup procedure together with the storage team based on NetApp-SMVI (Snap Manager for Virtual Infrastructure)
