For our customer we are looking for a Mechanical Designer AutomotiveStart: ASAP
Duration: 6-9 Month
Format: Remote and on site
• 5+ years’ experience in automotive development, ideally interior components
• CATIA V5 preferred (also 5+ years), alternatively Siemens NX
• 3D CAD design skills required, 2D (Drawing creation) optional
• Experience with interior components and therefore free-form surfaces and shapes
• Experience with plastic molded components, both A-Surface and structural
• Optional: experience with aluminum-diecast or stamped parts (Biege-Stanz-Teile)
• Optional: experience in design-for-manufacturing, therefore basic knowledge of plastic molding tools
• Optional: Know-how in material selections (plastic resins) and their according properties
• Optional: Know-how in surface coating (cosmetic paints, protection paints, chrome, …) for plastic parts
• Experience in development of plastic parts that interact / interface with electronic components (PCBs, Connectors, Wiring, …)
• Experience in integration of electronic components (such as LEDs, Switches, Touch, …) and interaction with acc. plastic parts
• Confident communication, solid technical English skills in spoken and written; basic German skills in spoken and written
• Fast, agile and independent way of working, independent interaction with acc. team members, pro-active provision of solutions
• Organized and structured way of working, reliable documentation of work and progress into customer docu-systems
Products: Overhead Consoles, Interior-HMI (Buttons, Switches, Touch, …), Interior- & Ambient-Lighting
