* Execute hardware installation in cooperation with HW vendor, provide further support and operational acceptance to all interfaces and perform failover test to validate HA is working fine
* Provide sufficient storage allocation strategy incl. capacity management (real time mirror (metro cluster))
* Establish network connection with LAN and WAN including VLANs/ACI/DNS
* Establish network connection for FO, SAN, etc.
* Develop high availability solution and deploy strategy
* Install relevant firmware, OS-updates according to OEM requirements and policies
* Provide data privacy management for dedicated and shared data
* Develop performance management with best-fit to the needs (e.g. use of flash drives/ full flash and in regards of latency)
* Perform security management (e.g. grouping data into categories like public/ restricted/ secret/ top secret)
* Provide management for different storage types (e.g. SAN - NAS - LUN management)
* Conduct storage fine-tuning
* Provide hardware/ software maintenance, support maintenance/ repairing processes
* Perform storage and data and file restorations
* Provide concepts, consolidation, restructuring
* Perform monitoring (check_mk), check logs and health (ActiveIQ) and act if neccessary
* Perform Ticket handling (MyITSM/Remdey e.g. expand quota limits, LUN and share management, other tickets for storage support group)
* Perform reporting incl. Kpi + capacity and performance
* Perform troubleshooting (e.g. replace faulty parts like disks, fix performance/connectivity issues, fix various warnings/errors which show up in logs,...)
* Perform administration including Jira tasks (e.g. Management for netapp-cluster, svm, SAN, volume, qtree, FC, export-policies and CIFS shares; adjust vault and backup policies, configure NDMP and inform Backup team, data/system migrations, restore operations including restore tests, network config, documentation ...)
* Automate recurring tasks like share/volume creation, quota/volume resizing, etc. with scripts and/or WFA
* Provide security tools for patch management and perform patch/firmware/os-update management
* Execute storage cleaning and respective destruction (inter alia secure erase of HDDs)
* Decommission of the storage units incl. emptying the rack space and removing all cabling
* Decommission of the storage configuration (svm, aggr, volume, shares, vaults, mirrors,...) inkl. IP/DNS and monitoring cleanup
* Update and maintain asset and configuration databasesA
