Tätigkeitenbeschreibung
Für unseren Kunden in Böblingen suchen wir im Rahmen der Arbeitnehmerüberlassung einen DevOps Spezialisten (m/w/d) für die Dauer von 16 Monaten.

Anforderungen:
Good knowledge about all aspects of Linux and ability to modify system to meet security requirements
Hands-on experience of system management, system setup and managing Linux on x86 based servers as well as configuring them
RPM build process knowledge will be an advantage

Openstack / Openshift / Kubernetes clusters administration (journeyman)
Experience with Container technologies - Openshift / Kubernetis
Experience with Openstack

Development skills
Knowledge in shell programming and architecture
Knowledge in at least one of the upper tier scripting language like Python

DevOps skills
Knowing how to implement a DevOps pipeline
Experience of managing container environments
Experience with tools like Jenkins, Travis,

Configuration management tools
Basics of configuration management tools like Ansible, Salt
Experience with version control systems (git, github)

Task Description:
zFirmware Openstack Cloud for Simulation (zFOCS) is a private cloud environment based on Openstack used to perform mainframe firmware verification.
The current list of 500 zFOCS users includes zFirmware development engineers, test and product engineers.

Candidate will work in a team-based, collaborative environment with peers in Boeblingen, Germany on following tasks:
1. Technical troubleshooting of customer reported software issues with an OpenStack cloud
2. Participate in modification, automation and management for underlying OSes, tools and OpenStack components
3. Participate in improvement of zFW development processes related to zFOCS, incl. migration from the pure OpenStack to an Openshift, adapting and modernizing an integration between zFOCS and external CI pipelines based on Jenkins
4. Using DevOps processes, creating and automating methods to scale OpenStack/Openshift and Ceph services within and across data centers
