Network Engineer

Up to €455 per day
4-6 month contract (very likely extensions)
Do you want to work for an international global institute who have work all over Europe?
My Client looking for a fluent English-speaking Network Engineer to join their ongoing project in Germany. You will be integrated in the team where you will work closely with the IT team on site.
Day-to-day tasks:
- Planning for future expansion requirements in with Service Manager and Data and IT architect
- Work with IT assurance and performance officer to analyse and sustain capacity and performance requirements
Tech Expertise:
- Experience in managing network components from major vendors from Cisco, F5, Fortinet, CheckPoint, Open source
- Experience in modern network security concepts
- Experience in Mobile Device Management Solutions
Knowledge of the below will be considered an asset:
- Knowledge in managing unified communication components from Cisco
- Knowledge in recent unified communication standards and technologies.
Tech/tools:
- Cisco Switches (user area and datacentre) and Routers
- Fortinet, Checkpoint and Cisco Firewalls
- PRTG Network Monitoring tool
- Linux Scripting solutions for automations (eg rancid)
- Cisco WIFI solutions (ISE, WLC)
- Cisco Proxy Solution (WSA)
- VPN Solution from Cisco and F5
- F5 Load Balancer and Web Application Firewall
- Video Conferencing (Cisco VCS including Video and Communication Gateways)
- Unified Communication (Cisco UC solutions eg CUCM, CUIM, CUACA)
- Web Conferencing (Cisco WebEx)
- Mobile Device Management (IBM Maas 360)
