For a customer in Eschborn we are currently looking for an

Engineer (m/f/d)

Scope of work
Incident, problem and change management
a) Disruptions in the application and its underlying infrastructure technically and
analyze and categorize the cost impact
b) To restore IT services as quickly as possible in the event of unplanned interruptions, by:
Create workarrounds or troubleshoot (incident management)
c) Create a development order for software development (error case, code adjustments
required)
d) Working on problem analysis, finding the best possible solutions for described
Problems
e) Installing provided changes to applications (patches, customizing, hotfixes,
Releases)
• Ensure application monitoring
(a) monitors and analyses the performance, stability, capacity and availability of the
associated applications
b) Creating and maintaining rules for effective monitoring of associated applications
c) Analyzing volume development (capacity and availability planning)
• Participate in projects/line orders according to the procedure model, e.g.:
a) Contribute to the preparation of an idea paper
b) Collaborate with release management
c) Decrease in all development contracts for existing and future operating
Applications
d) Implementing released quota orders (e.g. Customizing, Special Reports, Authorizations)
e) Cooperation in the planning of company introductions and accompanying the introduction of operations
• Ensure that the provided process documentation is in line with the requirements of the
use of the Postbank System document management system is stored
• Develop proposals for e.g. cost control potentials or product optimizations
for the applications to be looked after, provide impulse for optimization measures
• Derive the operating impact in terms of maintenance costs (quantity drivers) from the
Degree of complexity of the application or the target system

Skills required
Relevant (specialist) university studies or comparable long-term professional experience
• Several years of experience in application support/development
• Experience in customizing standard applications
• Equally up-to-date as well as comprehensive knowledge in the respective field
Flexibility, innovative thinking combined with particularly analytical, precise and goal-oriented
work and economic understanding
• Self-responsibility and high communication skills
Social competence in the sense of integration into teams
• High quality awareness
Deep understanding of the representation of the bank's business processes in the applications
Good knowledge of the architecture, data models and interfaces of the applications to be looked after
