Database Administrator / Designer (MySQL/Postgres)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, construction and documentation of SQL Server databases, stored procedures, database
- monitoring and scheduling, and other database components satisfying functional and non-functionalrequirements and consistent with the system architecture.
- Monitoring, tuning and support of SQL Server databases in any environment, including production.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of three years commercial experience with SQL Server across the whole softwaredevelopment lifecycle. Minimum of five years’ experience in RDBMS development/DBA rolesgenerally.
- Good practical experience planning, installing, patching, configuring, backing up / restoring,monitoringand maintaining SQL Server databases in different logical environments, includingproduction (this is NOT a pure developer role).
- Strong experience developing SQL Server database applications (this is NOT a pure DBA role).
- Experience managing calls/bug-fixes with Microsoft support.
- Experience performance tuning SQL Server databases & SQL.
