• This software development project aims at automating the creation of molds for midsole manufacturing in Rhino
SERVICE DESCRIPTION
Task: Automate Geometry Simulation and Optimization Develop a Rhino plug-in that assists a user in preparing/creating a mold for a new production technique. The developed application/plug-in aims at standardizing and automating complex tasks during the tool creation process. The plugin should allow the user to
a.) Interactively position a midsole geometry w.r.t. a template mold geometry
b.) Automatically detect characteristic lines on the midsole geometry
c.) Allow the user to modify / move those lines if required
d.) Create the final mold geometry based on the template and the prepared midsole
e.) Implement some checks for checking the validity of the created tooling
The plugin shall be written in either Python or C#.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
• Master’s degree in computer science mathematics or mechanical engineering or equivalent education.
• Expert knowledge and proven professional programming experience (preferably in Python or C#)
• Expert knowledge in Rhino and scripting for Rhino
• Advanced knowledge in numerical mathematics and computer graphics / geometry processing
• Proficient spoken and written command of English or German
• At least 3 year of work experience
• Experience in OpenGL programming in C++
• Experience in working with NX
• Experience in FEA Simulation tools
