Role: Symantec Encryption Desktop PGPLocation: Remote (candidate can be based anywhere in EU)
Duration of Contract: 4.5 months
Start: October 2020
Language reqirement: English fluency
Mandatory Skills:
• Basic Understanding of the server operating systems like Windows server 2012 and Redhat
• Advanced knowledge of SFTP, SSH transmission, ciphers & algorithms, file encryption
• Deep understanding of encryption, PGP, IP networking, HTTP, CGI, security certificates and SSH.
Competencies (Knowledge and Skills)
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Mandatory 6+ years of experience in Data Protection technologies including 3+ years of experience in Symantec PGP Encryption Server implementation and administration
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Cryptography with other related technologies like PKI, Key management
• Basic Understanding of the server operating systems like Windows server 2012 and Redhat
• Basic understanding of the virtual machines and its infrastructure like VMware ESX, workstation, Oracle box etc
• Basic Networking knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of SFTP, SSH transmission, ciphers & algorithms, file encryption
• Deep understanding of encryption, PGP, IP networking, HTTP, CGI, security certificates and SSH.
Key Responsibilities
• Implementation of the PGP server with the Netshare for file and folder encryption
• Exporting and importing the crypto keys using PGP command line and PGP GUI
• Deployment of policies catering Encryption and decryption of sensitive files using the PGP encryption software.
• Must be able to install and support PGP encryption, setup and support of laptops
• Create test cases and executing the used cases on PGP server and clients to do the proof of concept
• Engineer, Deploy and technology to meet the ever changing business requirements
• Assists in review and recommends solutions including hardware and configuration changes
• Provide 2nd level support to the security administrator II when troubleshooting access problems
• Troubleshooting endpoint operating systems to identify the root cause of the issue
• Providing weekly update to the Project manager about the progress of the project and implementation
