Database Administrator (m/f/d) IBM DB2 DBA --- Eschborn
Scope of work
As part of the Unity program, the project 'Accounts' is responsible for the definition and setup of the product portfolio located in the target system ZVKK.
This includes:
- coordination of the relevant peripheral systems
- technical readiness of ZV/KK
- migration of the account contracts
- support for OPS and FE processes"
MUST HAVE Skills
- Experience in the banking sector
Tasks and responsibilities for the Senior Engineer having several years of experience in DB2 and Mainframe:
- DB2 Performance Analysis:
- Consulting and Optimization of static and dynamic SQLs.
- DB2 System Analysis:
- Analysis of actual DB2 utilization within ZV/KK: Bufferpools, CPU, Threads, Logging, Locking
- DB2 Application Analysis:
- Analysis of the consumption of each application (Job/Tx, DB2Plan)
- Derterming values of CPU consumption, runtime, blocking behavior, BP usage.
- Creation of statistical values (per day / week / month)
- Determing peaks in relation to number of records processed.
- Creation of performance concepts for the integration into the DB2 Architecture of ZV/KK.
- Parallelization, 7/24, EoD, special internal Applications, Connection of external sub-systems (CICS / SAP / Unix …)
- Knowledge and usage of performance tools
- Datamodelling
- Supporting the projects in data modelling
- Cooperation in planning and creating the data model for ZV/KK
- Planning and modelling in Case 4.0 (ZV/KK)
- Creation and use of the DDLs on mainframe system.
- Support in converting data modelling to Powerdesinger.
MUST HAVE TECHNICAL Skills
- Advanced Knowledge in DB2 for z/OS and mainframe (z/OS).
- Experience with performance tools, preferably Omegamon, Apptune
- Expertise in JCL, OPC, CICS
- Experience in DB2 Admin-tools, system construction / configuration.
- Experiences and Expertise in creation of DB2 performance analysis and performance concepts.
- Expertise in data modelling.
