Data Engineer with analytical skills (Python, PySpark) vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the financial sector.Your experience/skills:
- 6+ years of experience as Data Analyst or Data Engineer including 3+ years of practice with Python ideally within the banking industry
- Expertise in Data Models and Database Design as well as with Data Discovery and Data Cleaning on new data with ETL
- Know-how of distributed computing tools such as PySpark, Cloudera and HDFS is a must
- Good Understanding of Business Analysis and Machine Learning is preferable
- Capability of Java and SQL as well as experience with Foundry and Palantir tools is a plus
- Being Agile practitioner with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Implementing data pipelines along with providing pipeline refactoring, optimisation and logging
- Managing daily batch run implementation and generating derived data feeds
- Performing unit, integration and regression testing as well as documenting design, functionalities and tests
- Designing and managing data models and ontologies
- Producing new reports and insights through close collaboration with business departments
