THE PROJECT:
Our client, a leading insurance company with headquarters in Dortmund/Hamburg, wants to understand their target groups better and ultimately achieve a significant increase in market share through insurance-related and non-insurance products/services.
For this achievement, a multidisciplinary team of internal employees from different areas, as well as our forces from strategic designers, UX designers, software developers, and strategy consultants, work following an agile process in a service/product optimization project.
Projects are run in a 06-month Journey-format. Our belief is that only through squads, a team curated and prepared by us, we enable an immediate and sustained high performance in the challenges, focusing an environment of your accelerated professional and personal growth.
For the next phase of the current Journey, which started in January, we are looking for a freelancing professional who will bring his expertise according to the requirements below:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the development of the integration layer
- Shared responsibility for the implementation of functions with the SDA Engineers as part of a microservice architecture (Java-based)
- Workshops with customer team responsible for legacy systems
- Implementation, planning, and programming of user interfaces and business logic, based on the requirements set
- Development of intuitive graphical user interfaces (GUIs) with proper use of the features provided by the framework
- Close coordination with UI Designers in designing applications/GUIs
- Automatic monitoring of the reliability and usability of the application
- Unit, functional and integration testing of the application frontend
- Configuration of the build infrastructure
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Profound knowledge of the programming languages Java and JavaScript/Typescript
- Profound Understanding of front-end applications/platforms with Angular 7+, HTML5 WebComponents
- Expertise in microservice architecture and HTTP/REST-based services
- Experience with the development tools Git, Jira, Jenkins, Junit
- Nice to have: Knowledge in or experience with MongoDB, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker
- High Expertise in the realisation of portal solutions, web applications, and mobile apps
- Experience in consulting and conceptualization of modular, web-based IT-architecture incl. Frontend, Middleware, and Backend
- Customer-oriented and creative approach as well as communication skills
- Practical experience in agile teams with good knowledge of agile methods
- German fluent
- Experience in working in interdisciplinary teams
