Technical Specialist (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- Identify technical issue, coming up in production
- Broader overview on configuration and setup of the application
- Support installation processes for new releases or fixes from test- and production environments
- Understand bank’s release and deployment process along with usage of various tools
- Provide possible technical workarounds to minimize financial and reputational damages to bank
- Work closely with Incident managers, L1/L2 teams, Operations & data center colleagues describing the issues
- Find technical resolution/workaround involving all parties
- Work closely with Core delivery team and understand releases cycles and any technical challenges
- Debug and identify offending code (Java/SQL), provide heads up to development team
- Simulate production scenarios in test/QA environments
- Ensure traceability and transparency is maintained across various verticals
Main qualifications
- Strong experience as an Oracle analyst
- In-depth experience with UNIX ( AIX is a plus)
- Experience with working in L1/L2/L3 is a plus
- Experience with MQ, Java, J2EE, XML, Weblogic, JMS, etc.
- Experience with installation management is a plus
- Experience with testing, test case definition, test automation is a plus
- Ability to visualize potential technical impact and thereby prioritize the issue
- Payment experience is a plus
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to clearly communicate the potential issue and the risk across various vertical
- Ability to use own judgment to make appropriate and timely decisions based on the information available
- Know when to refer issues upwards
- Language skills: Fluent English is a must, German is optional
