Our client is an internationally positioned DAX company in the agricultural sector. For the further development of technical solutions in the field of "Digital Farming" we are currently looking for a
IoT Engineer (m/f/d)
Capacity utilization: 100%, 5 days a week
Location: Langenfeld (near Düsseldorf), 3-4 days onsite
Start: short-term until the end of 2020 with an extension option
Your Task
Conducting market research regarding applicable radio standards, protocols and suitable hardware components
Performing feasibility studies and tradeoff analyses between solutions
Selection and validation of these components
Refining and finalizing technical requirements for our next-generation IoT Device
Contributing to selection and management of hardware development partners
Your Profil
Good understanding of Industry 4.0 and RAMI model.
Approx. 5 years of experience in the field of Hardware Research and Development
IoT architecture and platforms including sensors, edge devices.
Interfacing with IoT devices, setting up gateways, ingesting, analysing IoT/transformed data in real/near-Real Time.
IoT protocols (eg MQTT, OPC-UA, CoAP, AQMP).
Cloud environments and frameworks such as Azure, AWS, MindSphere, FIWARE.
Software development (Python/C++/JavaScript/Node JS) and Database technologies.
Container and clustering technologies based on Docker.
Ability to collaborate within a cross-functional and agile environment
Very good communication skills, incl. business fluency in English
