Our client is an internationally positioned DAX company in the agricultural sector. For the further development of technical solutions in the field of "Digital Farming" we are currently looking for a

Applied Research Engineer (m/f/d)

Capacity utilization: 100%, 5 days a week

Location: Langenfeld (near Düsseldorf), 3-4 days onsite

Start: short-term until the end of 2020 with an extension option

Your Task

Good educational background with a Degree, MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electronics or related subjects

Worked in a research or proof of concept environment on IOT or connected products

Actively explore emerging IOT trends

Conducting market research regarding applicable radio standards, protocols and suitable hardware components

Develop experimental proof of concepts

Roll out successful technologies across their global products

Influence technical direction they take to solve challenging problems with IOT products

Your Profil

Development of API driven proof of concepts,

Requirement analysis & specification of SaaS architecture and knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure)

Broad technical knowledge of a wide variety of connectivity technologies and protocols such as: TCP/IP, HTTPS and MQTT

Continuous Integration and deployment

Knowledge of scalability, security, data privacy and futureproofing concerns

Experimentally validating hypotheses

Project planning and technical report writing, for suppliers and for management reviews.

Strong communication skills.

Very good communication skills, incl. business fluency in English
