FPGA Engineer - Immediate Start - Goettingen, Germany - 80 - 90 EUR/hr - +6 Months

The current client are looking to grow their team to support some major new contracts and developments within their Electro-optical product range.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation of FPGA designs using VHDL and working within a structured FPGA design framework.
You will be required to :

* Create innovative VHDL based FPGA designs
* Undertake advanced verification techniques using VHDL
* Have knowledge of current FPGA technologies from either Xilinx, Intel (Altera) or Microsemi (Actel) and their associated toolsets
* Be proficient in the analysis of system level requirements and deriving detailed FPGA requirements

You will have:

* Knowledge of methodical approaches across the full FPGA design lifecycle
* Skills in de-bugging of FPGA designs
* Ability to define complex timing and area constraints for efficient FPGA place and route
* Experience with Xilinx Vivado (desirable)
* Experienced with Mentor Graphics FPGA development tools including HDL Designer, ModelSim / Questa and Precision (desirable)
* Experience of implementing processor cores in FPGAs (desirable)
* Knowledge of Matlab, Simulink and HDL coder (desirable)
