Overview:

As part of its database portfolio Deutsche Bank will be implementing a multi-resident solution to host very large database workloads (VLBD) in access of 10 Terabytes, on Oracles Exadata and OEM platforms. As part of the wider works an end to end reporting dashboard needs to be designed and developed using Oracle Application Express (APEX)
The Database Team is looking for a Software Solutions Architect / Senior Developer Manager and an experienced developer with a primarily responsible to architect and manage the development of a product dashboard and support the enhancement of existing applications using APEX, Java, Python, and PL/SQL.
Additional responsibilities will include working with management level stakeholders to solicit requirements and craft solutions, fellow IT staff, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, excellent dashboard design, programming and unit testing skills. The candidate must also have excellent verbal and written skills, and meticulously document technical design and product documentation.
The project will apply the banks key frameworks such as the DB SDLC to fully design and develop metrics and measurement indicators related to database products and services with a view to realizing the following benefits;
• Reduction of incidents, i.e. noise to signal ratio, reduction of false positives, etc
• Detection and reporting of configuration drift against defined baselines
• Detection and reporting of configuration drift between PROD and DR instances
• Verification of Replication technologies
• Verification of backup effectiveness


Key Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to design and develop dashboard indicators that detects and communicates operational risk via a central dashboard. This will include all
components of the solution and the metrics and measurement, including tools integration.
• Design and apply robust data models using industry standard methods.
• Have an excellent grasp of the Software Development Lifecycle including source code management.
• Responsible for development, testing, debugging, optimization and release of developed code.
• Demonstrable experience with custom UI development, and interactive reporting.
• Maintain and enforce SQL and PL/SQL development coding standards and best practices
• Assist in the production and maintenance of technical documentation, user documentation, and process guidelines
• Strong leadership skills and a dedication to achieving business outcomes and project deadlines
• Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, business stakeholders, and clients using various techniques and collaboration channels
• Strong understanding of Oracle technology including OEM and oracles product roadmap


The candidates will have the following skils: (Skills/Experience)

• 5 yrs+ experience of both development and infrastructure projects.
• Relevant experience in software product development using Oracle Application Express, Java, and Python with strong modelling and design capabilities.. The
technical area could be but is not limited to: RDBMS Databases, ZFS Backups, Oracle Monitoring and Alerting.
• Demonstrable track record of delivering similar developments
• Experience within a tier1 banking experience ideally Deutsche Bank infrastructure environments
• Able to work in virtual global teams in a matrix organization.
• Extensive analytical skills, flexibility regarding problem solving.
• Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members.
• Able to work in fast paced environment.
• Self confidence

Candidates should have: (Skills/Competencies)

• A Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in IT or Computer Science related discipline (equivalent diploma or technical faculty)
• Fluent in English (written/verbal)
• German would be advantageous
