2nd/3rd Line Unix/Linux Admin/Application Support Engineer/Remote
Contract: 6 months Initially
Location: Eschborn , Germany
Rate: £180 per day
As 3rd line Support Engineer within a Unix/Linux environment you are needed to provide essential 3rd Line Support of the company, and soon to be new live, IT Infrastructure. Support the operation of Linux, Unix systems ensuring they are patched in line with support and security requirements.
Ensuring they are monitored and managed to meet required performance and capacity levels as a 3rd line specialist. Support the diagnosis and resolution of complex technical issues escalated via 2nd line support or directly through analysis of the system performance and behaviour.
Key skills:
- Strong Technical support capability (design, implementation and support) in the following Technologies to ensure the client can continue to meet its required service levels for customers:
- Linux (RedHat)
- Unix (HPUX)An ideal candidate would also have Technical experience in other technologies within the overall IT infrastructure, such as; Enterprise Storage Arrays SAN infrastructure
- HPE Server hardware
- Enterprise backup (Data Protector) management
- Databases (Oracle, MySQL etc)
