We are looking for a Physical Layer Engineer (m/f) for our client in Nuremberg with the below requested skills and for the following tasks- Tasks
- Definition and Specification of complex mechanical system components for optical Interfaces at high data rates
- Independent development of mechanical concepts and implementation
- Definition of component placing, floor planning
- Definition of mechanical layout requirements
- Discussion with component supplier about specification and implementation
- Contact to other, international client's locations
- Introduction of new components in client's database
- Support of thermal simulation & optimization
- Support and Training of the fabrication team abroad
- Dipl. Ing. degree in precision or electrical engineering
- Expert in Pro-E and Intralink
- Expert in physical design for complex hardware design studies
- Experience with cooling techniques and related simulation tools (FlowTherm)
- Basic knowledge in PDM
- Basic knowledge in EMI and optic
- Work experience in the area of high speed, digital or optical transmission techniques
- Very good English skills fluent in spoken and written
- Interest in collaboration with international partners
- Ability to work independent and self-organized
- Flexibility and ability to cope with pressure
Requested skills
The project will start in February 2011 and has a duration of 6 months with the option of extension.
