Solution Architect (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- Review business requirements specifications (BRS) to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future capability
- Verify and address non-functional requirements e.g. scalability, sustainability, security
- Conduct feasibility study of potential solutions to fulfil existing business requirements
- Define architecture-compliant Solution Strategy and Solution Design following architecture principles and technology standards, guidelines
- Enforce standardization, smooth integration to existing IT landscape
- Provide architecture diagrams/specifications to deliver and manage future solution, create and maintain respective documentation
- Provide guidance and consultancy to product owners
- Support projects at the IT Department for Technology & Architecture with focus on Enterprise architecture, HR and cross functional IT domain
- Support the HSSE Tool project where two project phases are planned in 2020 (planning and implementation) and where support of the IT Solution Architect is needed
- Analyze IT assessment results of minimum three different standard HSSE IT Cloud solution service providers
- Ensure interface & NFR implementation is done by service provider as required
- Support in technical discussions between selected service provider and (Q)HSSE tool project and other interface application team parties
Main qualifications
- University degree in computer science, business administration or related disciplines
- In-depth and relevant work experience in designing IT solutions; development skills and experience (e.g. Java /Python) is a plus
- Knowledge about methodologies and architecture practices (e.g. SOA, DDD, TOGAF practice) and technologies (at least Cloud especially service models, integration)
- Experience with architecture diagrams and solution design (functional/ technical)
- Experience with microservices, REST API/GraphQL and event-based processing
- Knowledge of various Integration patterns is a must
- Knowledge and experience of Agile methodologies e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
- Knowledge and understating of software development lifecycle in DevOps environment
- Knowledge and experience of API management platforms e.g. APIGee, Axaway, MuleSoft would be a plus
- Strong business and system acumen, good understanding of project and application life cycles
- Pronounced customer service orientation, self-initiative and excellent analytical skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
