Infrastructure DevOps Engineer - Python/Cloud
For our prestigious client we are looking for an Infrastructure DevOps Engineer.
This includes the following responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the cloud infrastructure for GDP
- Ensure the smooth operation of our environment
- Evaluate new technologies in the field of infrastructure automation and cloud computing
- Look for opportunities to improve performance, reliability and automation
- Provide DevOps capability to team mates and customers
- Resolve incidents and change requests
- Document Solutions and communicate it to the users
Required Skills:
- Advanced experience with Linux incl. Scripting (Bash, Python)
- Advanced experience with Cloud Infrastructure/Cloud Services (preferable on Microsoft Azure)
- Container Orchestration (Kubernetes, Nomad)
- Log and metrics management (ELK Stack), Monitoring (Prometheus)
- Infrastructure as code/Deployment and configuration automation (Ansible, Terraform)
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Gitlab CI, Jenkins, Nexus etc.)
- Infrastructure Security Principles
- Networking
Nice to Have:
- Virtualization (KVM, Citrix etc.)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
- Software engineering (design patterns, version control, automated testing, concurrent programming etc.)
- Databases (eg PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Neo4J)
- Distributed systems (eg Spark)
- Event based systems (eg Kafka)
Other Skills
- DevOps mindset (you build it, you run it; taking responsibility for your work)
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and tools
- Team player open to work in an agile environment
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is a must, other languages (eg German, French, Italian, etc.) are a plus
- Customer orientation & communication skills
