For our client, a global open source software company we are looking for an Accountant / Financial Controller on a freelance basis (f/m/d)Project start: ASAP
Project duration: 4-6 months
Location: Berlin
Languages: English. German is not needed
Tasks:
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment, prioritizing according to payment terms
- Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Assists in month-end closing and audits
- Assists in other finance related duties/projects as needed
Skills:
- Minimum 4 years of accounting / controlling experience
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications including Advanced Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Good knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Proficient in major accounting systems
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with different levels
- Fluent English (no German needed)
