Role: EDI Project Manager
Location: Nuremberg, Germany
Start Date: Feb 2020
Duration: 10-14 months
Language requirements: German and English

Experience Needed: 5 years of IT experience with 3-5 years project management experience

Role Objective:
Client is looking for a project manager supporting the EDI migration project from on premise to public cloud, managed by a vendor. The role will be reporting to the leading Client Project Manager of the EDI migration project.
The Project Manager role supports the leading Client Project Manager in all aspects of the project over the entire life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).

The duties include assembling the project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, assigning individual responsibilities, and developing the schedule to ensure timely completion of project. The Project Manager must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the project team. The Project Manager needs to be comfortable managing scope and resources of the project during the project lifecycle in close collaboration with the vendor and the leading Client Project Manager.


Qualifications & Experience

• An undergraduate degree is required; graduate engineer (Applied Science) is an advantage.
• PMI or Prince 2 Certification is valuable, but not required.
• 5 years of IT experience with 3-5 years project management experience, preferably for a progressive IT organization within a manufacturing business or with Client.
• Experience from managing agile projects and preferable holder of a Scrum Master title or similar.
• Experience leading at least 1 enterprise level project.
• Strong interest in managing project in the digital portfolio.
• Management of medium to larger IT projects: budgets from $250,000 to $1,000,000+ and project teams averaging up to 12 resources.
• Experience leading or participating in a variety of technical and business driven projects.
• Experience within Service Now PPM module or similar project/portfolio management tool
• Experience creating and maintaining project budgets.
• Project management skills and experience or training including the utilization of project management best practice life cycle methodologies and documentation processes. This should include experience with standard tools and processes for:
o Originating
o Planning
o Executing
o Controlling
o Closure
• Previous experience with EDI and migration to cloud projects is an advantage.
• JIRA experience is an advantage.
