FPGA Engineer (Optics) - February Start - 12 Month Project - Munich - €90 p/h - English SpeakingMy client is a major player in the telecommunications industry searching for an FPGA engineers with experience in optical/wireless communication to come on board from February for a 12 month project.
Your role will see you mainly working the development of the clients custom IP block for a 100 gbps receiver platform. This is the full cycle and will involve selecting different design blocks, DSP blocks, coming up with algorithm design at a floating-point level in MATLAB and bringing these algorithms to an actual working design.
The ideal candidate would be able to start from mid February however the client is able to wait a couple of weeks for the right profile.
Requirements:
- Extremely strong background in FPGA development from algorithm design to running the HDL
- Experience bringing high speed projects from conception to delivery
- DSP/communication experience
- Ideally worked in an optical domain of not then a wireless one
Beneficial:
- Xilinx 7 series experience
- Xilinx UltraScale+ experience; ideally with GTY or GTM experience would be perfect but anything from UltraScale would be beneficial
- SerDes experience
